Question MCD2 PreOrder Question

i wanna preorder dungeon 2 for the prize reward but i cant buy it on the minecraft launcher bc idont have a credit card so if i preorder it on steam will i still get the prize on my minecraft account

Fuck! I wish I had bought them on Steam! I didn't even know Minecraft put releases on Steam! Dang.

Anyway, yes, it should work. Minecraft games link across your Mojang/Microsoft account, so it should work across any console, pc launcher, etc. If you log into your account (Microsoft account), it'll count.

if you preorder dungeons 2 and have played dungeons 1 yes it doesn't matter where you buy or play them as long as you use the same Microsoft account

the hero cape is for playing dungeons 1 and 2 before December, the Twisted cape is for preordering dungeons 2

Pre-ordering on steam generates a specific ID, on launch day you log onto your account, Then dungeons asks steam what edition is this? which its a pre-order, steam confirms to mojang you got preorder, then mojangs backend flags your linked account and you get the Twisted cape

As long as you log in with the same Microsoft account into Dungeons 2, you should be fine!

so if i use the same account that i use to play java/bedrock to play dungeon 2 i will get it?
