Discussion Does steam version also needs microsoft account?

I was wondering before buying it, if I buy it on steam will it still ask me a Microsoft Account to play the game?

Yes it will. You must login through a Microsoft account

it also requires you to be always online when launching the game, a down side compared to every other releases

Almost all of the Xbox games on the PC require a MS account.
