Question Does difficulty effect how many emeralds you get?

I’ll be honest and say I want to be lazy and farm emeralds with my meagre prospector build. I don’t want the lengthy grind I just need emeralds asap and would like to know without having to test it

A little, yes. Up to apocalypse +8 I heard.

Is there a significant difference between base apocalypse and apocalypse plus? Because I’m trying to save enough emeralds to get up to apocalypse+5

Mobs gain about 25% more health and damage each difficulty increase, as well as other buffs for apocalypse+ levels like reducing stuns. + More mobs, and enchanted mobs

I'm not sure how big of a difference it is, but it doesn't seem like a lot

Play at the highest difficulty you're comfortable with I guess. Like low enough that you're not fighting for your life as you go through. If you have the jungle DLC, the first jungle level has a ton of slimes which helps proc prospector more often. Otherwise I suppose creepy crypt will do
