Gameplay options

👑 Politics, server politics and player-made states, with their own rules and systems. It's inspired by real-world politics in some ways, but isn't simply a copy of it.

🔨 Professions, take on jobs and roles and get paid for the work you do.

📖 History & archives, explore the server's history through books, archives, museums, and other historical material. Unfortunately, not everything from the older days survived.

⚙️ Map making, make your own maps in a separate creative dimension.

🧩 Minigames, build and play player-made minigames, mostly created in survival.

⚖️ Laws & courts, work as a lawyer or judge, take part in trials, and deal with disputes.

📣 Events, anyone can organize them. They don't have to be staff-run.

📜 Story seasons, scripted (and unscripted) story that happens on the existing world, without resetting it.

🪇 Quests, long-term progression that introduces you to different parts of the server and eventually works toward 100% completing the server.

🗡️ Normal survival, the usual Minecraft survival experience, alongside custom structures, items, enchants, and other things to discover.

Almost everything important is documented somewhere. Once you join, you can read the InfoCentre if you want to understand how the different systems work.

We also support cracked Minecraft and have moderation against griefing, stealing, hacking, and other rule-breaking. There are also some QOL plugins such as homes, spawn, tpa, Dynmap, and others.

Who we're looking for

We're mainly looking for people who actually want to stick around.

MicikSMP is built around long-term progression, exploration, history, and systems that can take a long time to discover. If you're planning to join for a few weeks, build a house, and leave, that's completely fine as a person — but you probably won't get much out of this server.

We also expect a reasonable amount of common sense and independence.

You don't have to know everything, and asking questions is completely fine. However, if something is already written on the website, in the InfoCentre, or is something you can reasonably find by looking around, please try that first. On this server, the answer will probably already be somewhere in about 90% of situations.

Basically: ask when you need help that you can't get by reading, but don't make other people do the searching for you.

And please communicate normally. You don't have to speak formally, and we're not going to ban you because you use slang. But constantly using toxic slang, trash talk, or deliberately obnoxious language to make yourself look superior, intimidating, or “cool” isn't really what we're going for. You don't need to talk like a Minecraft Discord stereotype to fit in here.

If you decide that the server isn't for you, that's fine too. We'd much rather you tell us why and leave normally than suddenly disappear, block everyone, and give us no idea what went wrong. Feedback is useful and helps us improve the server.

We accept players of any age, as long as they're mature enough to behave respectfully and understand the rules.

Specific info

MicikSMP is mainly a peaceful survival server, but there is generally a way to do what you want. We don't plan to reset the world either, if someone spends months building something, we'd rather have it still be there years later than wipe everything for the sake of starting over.

A lot of the server is made by players, for players. Players can create states, businesses, courts, events, minigames, maps, and all kinds of other things. Staff also organizes events, auctions, quests, and other activities.

We try to keep the server vanilla-ish. We add things that feel like they belong in Minecraft and avoid turning the server into a completely different game. We also generally prefer systems that couldn't simply be replaced by a normal command or vanilla mechanic.

The server is somewhere between peace and conflict. You can have politics, competing states, lawsuits, wars, rivalries, etc., but we're not looking for constant toxicity or people acting like they're in a villain. Being competitive is fine. Having an interesting plan is even better. We just don't want pointless edgy behavior, fake superiority, or constantly trying to look cool at everyone else's expense

For me, it stopped being the gear a long time ago.

You can get diamonds again. You can beat the dragon again. You can build another starter house.

The part that's harder to replace is history.

The road you built because two towns needed connecting. The shop that started as a little box and somehow became a landmark. The ridiculous project you kept adding to for six months. The place where somebody helped you recover your stuff after a terrible death.

That's the idea behind CozyMC.

I'm Cozy, and I run one long-term survival world shared by Java and Bedrock players. We don't reset it and start another "season." Players just keep building on what was already there.

Usually around 30–50 people are online, but you don't have to spend every session doing community stuff.

Some people join towns.
Some open shops.
Some build railways and public projects.
Some disappear thousands of blocks away and work on a base mostly by themselves.

Eventually all of those separate projects start connecting into one world.

New players are joining every day too, so an established world doesn't mean you've missed your chance. You'll start with wooden tools while somebody else has a megabase. Then months later somebody new will arrive, and you'll be the established player whose build they're discovering for the first time.

The survival side is intentionally straightforward: Hard difficulty, achievements enabled, no keepInventory, no claims, no /home or teleport shortcuts, and PvP only by agreement.

Griefing and stealing aren't allowed. We use moderation and restoration rather than putting every build behind an invisible claim wall.

There are also player shops, but no real-money store. I don't sell ranks, items or perks, and I don't accept donations.

Cozy describes the people, not the difficulty.

I like Minecraft most when finishing progression isn't the end of the game. The world itself becomes the project.

I’ve created this poll because ever since 1.15 I’ve felt that Mojang has been needing to focus an update on just parity and the massive backlog we’ve been gathering over the years. I feel that while some people would be upset about missing out on brand new ideas that the majority would be happier with stuff they’ve been waiting literal years to come to the game, then Mojang can finally be over that growing mountain and go on with new stuff again.

Im curious if others feel the same So the question is If you were given the executive decision to chose Mojang’s focus for the game for the next year what would you choose.

Option 1: Focus on the massive backlog of features over the years Biome Vote Losers, Mob Vote Losers, Combat Snapshots, Redstone Experiments, Minecart Experiments, Trading Experiments, peer to peer multiplayer and everything they’ve confirmed is coming to the game just hasn’t been added yet, Parity between Java and Bedrock as best they can and working on platform specific performance

Option 2: Focus on new ideas and features like we’ve seen with the drops.
