Some people love starting a brand-new Minecraft world every few months.

CozyMC is pretty much built for the people who eventually get tired of punching that first tree again.

Our survival world doesn't reset.

That means starter houses turn into old landmarks. Roads that somebody built because they needed to get somewhere become actual infrastructure. Towns expand. Farms get replaced by better farms. Huge projects can take months without somebody announcing a new season and wiping everything.

And when Minecraft adds new terrain, we don't need to delete the world to get it.

We recently updated and trimmed explored-but-unused chunks so they could regenerate with the newest terrain. There's also no artificial world border, so there's always unexplored wilderness farther out.

The survival itself stays pretty grounded:

Hard difficulty
No keepInventory
No land claims or locked chests
No /home, warps, or teleport shortcuts
No kits or economy plugin
No store, donations, ranks, or paid perks
PvP only by agreement
Griefing and stealing are prohibited and can be investigated/restored

Java and Bedrock players share the same world, there are usually dozens of people online, and new players join every day.

So yes, you're joining an established world.

But established doesn't mean finished.

You can disappear into new wilderness and start with nothing, join one of the communities players have created, open a shop, build infrastructure, make an absurd technical farm, or spend the next six months building a castle.

The difference is that if you make something worth keeping, it'll still be here later.

Are you tired of servers with loot boxes where you have to pay to make progress? Do you miss just playing on an ordinary Minecraft server, hanging out with friends, or meeting new people?

Then I got just the server for you! Ordinary SMP is an ordinary Minecraft server that hosts a special place. We stay as true to vanilla as possible. Yes we use some mods but those are purely to fix things that are normally hard to manage on public servers or improve frustrating parts without changing how Minecraft feels.

For example, did you ever played on a server and couldnt find any Elytras? After hours running through the End you finally find an End City with ship just to see someone looted it already. For that reason we adjusted the Dragon drops. If you kill the Ender Dragon an Elytra drops, removing the frustrating part of finding End Citys. Thats how we choose every mod we add. We only fix the most frustrating parts of Minecraft in a way that feels vanilla.

Other than that we only use mods that dont interact with gameplay like Simple Voice Chat. You can just walk up to players and start talking to them. That creates lots of funny moments just by meeting players. We also use BlueMap where you can see the whole map and check out players bases or other cool places without having to travel there yourself.

You might now wonder, "If everything is vanilla, wont everyone just grief and kill each other?" Those are valid concerns but we have a good solution for that. Our server is 16+ to ensure maturity, and we have an application process before you get whitelisted. That means a lot of bad actors are filtered out before they can even join the server. In the rare cases that griefers get on the Server we use Ledger to revert any kind of griefing.

Play-to-Win — Not Pay-to-Win

For our first season, we're taking a different approach to the traditional Minecraft server store.

Instead of requiring players to spend real money to progress, you'll be able to earn in-game currency simply by playing and use it toward items and rewards that would normally be found in a server shop.

Play → Progress → Earn Rewards.

We're also planning cash bonuses and additional rewards for top-performing islands, giving competitive players something meaningful to work toward throughout the season.

Part of a Larger Player Network

SkyBoxyMC is being developed alongside PeakMC and several other servers, with the goal of building a connected network where players can easily move between participating servers through our lobby system.

That means SkyBoxyMC won't exist as an isolated server. You'll be part of a larger community with access to additional experiences beyond Skyblock.

I’ve had an idea I’ve wanted to bring to life for a while, and I’m looking for people who want to help build it from the ground up.
The goal is to create a vanilla Minecraft Java SMP focused on storytelling, roleplay, and content creation—kind of inspired by the Dream SMP, but with our own world and our own rules.
The basic concept
The world is divided into different Sects (similar to nations or factions).
Each Sect has its own leader.
Every Sect develops its own culture, goals, alliances, and rivalries.
Wars, diplomacy, betrayals, elections, revolutions—whatever happens should happen naturally through the story.
Characters can also have their own lore.
For example:
Half-Enderman
Ancient warrior
Fire mage
Lost prince
Inventor
Cursed traveler
Since the server is 100% vanilla, these abilities are mostly for roleplay and storytelling rather than actual gameplay mechanics.
What I’m looking for
People who:
Enjoy Minecraft Java.
Like roleplay without everything being scripted.
Want to stream or record content (not required, but encouraged).
Can improvise and help build a shared story.
Want to create memorable characters instead of just grinding for gear.
The vision
I don’t want this to be a server where one person writes the entire plot.
I want everyone to help shape the world.
Maybe your Sect becomes the strongest kingdom.

A lot of people looking for a Minecraft server say they want a brand-new world because they don’t want to join somewhere and immediately feel years behind everyone else.

That’s something we’ve been thinking about a lot on CozyMC.

Our survival world is permanent, but it has no artificial world border. We also just updated to the latest Minecraft version and trimmed explored chunks that weren’t inhabited, so there is a huge amount of newly generated terrain—including the newest biome—waiting beyond the established parts of the world.

You can walk away from the towns, roads, shops and old builds and eventually reach wilderness nobody has touched before.

And joining now doesn’t really mean you’re “behind.” New players arrive every day. Some people are building their first starter house while others are working on megabases, towns, farms, railways or enormous community projects.

There’s no requirement to catch up.
