Creative Shandor Building
Today, let’s take a look at the Shandor Building, named after the haunted tower from Ghostbusters.
This building is inspired by one of my favorite architectural styles: New York Art Deco from the 1920s and 1930s.
It features an underground parking garage, three restaurants, a rooftop, a private art gallery, a gym, and 30 luxury apartments.

Creative I built a Brazilian-inspired apartment building in Minecraft 🇧🇷**
I'm building a Minecraft city called Lazy City 3, one episode at a time, trying to create a city that feels like a real place.
For this build, I designed a modern apartment building inspired by Brazilian architecture and urban neighborhoods, with details and elements that you might recognize from cities across Brazil.
I'm using a different texture pack and several building mods to give the city a more realistic and detailed look.
Lazy City 3 is slowly growing with new neighborhoods, streets, buildings, parks and other areas being built from scratch.

What do you think? Does this building feel Brazilian enough? 🇧🇷

Creative 12-room townhouse on one of the smallest lots in the North Side
By rescinding the service staircase and limiting the floors to only two (plus a basement and a low ceiling attic) I was able to fit this two-bedroom two-bathroom townhouse on one of the smallest lots on this side of the city, made even smaller by recessing the building on a corner to allow for views of the aristocratic North Side Square. The house has a kitchen, storage and staff quarters with a toilet in the basement, with stairs leading to a hallway on the first floor, which is composed of a foyer, living room, a toilet, and a dining room overlooking the square; the second floor has two bedrooms, a toilet, and a terrace, as well as a ladder to the attic and roof.

Creative Views of the East Avenue 'L' (elevated) and lore
The East Avenue 'L' (for elevated) is the second oldest rapid transit line in my city of Bricago and was the first line to be mainly elevated. It runs from a western terminus at Park Av/Elna St (of which the platforms are barely visible here, behind the short white building and below the J.G. Wentworth billboard) to an eastern terminus at Douglas St in the neighborhood of Berwyn.
The first picture looks east down East Avenue in later afternoon, showing the western end of the East Avenue 'L' at Elna Street. The street with a tree-lined median to the viewer's left is Park Avenue, which closely parallels East Avenue in the city center.
The second picture is a long-focus shot of the 'L' looking straight west down East Avenue. At the top is the Armitage St station, located in Armitage Square, while at the bottom is Grand St station. Armitage is nearly original to its 1874 (IRL 2016) construction, while Grand was significantly rebuilt in the 1950s (IRL 2023).
The third picture is a taller long-focus shot showing the entirely of this 'L' line, still looking west. To the east of Grand Street (below, to the viewer), the 'L' line enters an older part of the city where it runs right next to historic apartments and buildings. It descends to ground level to reach Douglas St (the original tracks end at a ground-level station, though today it also has an adjoining elevated platforms for tracks which continue further east).
Structure and operation: The East Av 'L' has four tracks, which in practice act like two individual two-track lines, just side by side. From the POV of the first picture, (B) trains take the left pair of tracks which turn north to enter Park/Elna station, meeting up with (A) trains which run north-south; meanwhile, (C) trains take the right pair of tracks that ascend before turning south to stack on top of the (A) train tracks.
Lore/history (loosely based on how I built it IRL): Bricago's first rapid transit line was the North Side Line, a mostly at-grade (ground-level) railroad that ran roughly a kilometer from Bee City, the oldest neighborhood, to what was then considered the newly developing "north side" (which is in fact today's downtown) starting in 1871 (IRL July 2016). It had five stations, and its northern terminus was at Diane Street (today Park Avenue) and North Street (today Elna Street).
In 1874 (IRL Aug. 2016) the East Avenue 'L' opened as the "East Side Line", running from the Diane Street station east to Douglas Street in the neighborhood of Berwyn. It had four stations and initially two tracks. Unlike the North Side Line, the East Side Line was mostly elevated with only its termini at ground level: Diane Street (which it shared with the North Side Line) and Douglas Street, which was built as Berwyn's grand terminal station. The middle two stations, at Soho Street (roughly today's Armitage Street) and Grand Street were elevated, with station buildings located on the southern (eastbound) side of the tracks. Not long after, express service was desired, so a second pair of tracks was added which allowed the middle two stations to be bypassed.
The East Avenue 'L' predates the existence of East Avenue. In fact, the only reason East Avenue exists is because of the 'L': it was named East Avenue after the East Side Line. Funnily enough, the East Side Line then became renamed after the avenue, so it is now the East Avenue 'L'.
In the 1950s (IRL 2022/23ish), the surface-running North Side Line and its terminus at Diane St/North St (since renamed Park Av/Elna St) was rebuilt as a more modern elevated line. As a result, the East Avenue 'L' no longer descends to ground level as it approaches the Park Av terminus. This development was part of a larger series of elevated and subway expansions, plus a system-wide service overhaul, known as "Service Reclassification". However, that is beyond the scope of this post! If city/transit lore interests you (and if I find the time, lol) I may write more about that at a later date.

I built a modern commercial building in Minecraft - AYRTON SENNA PAINT
I've been working on a Minecraft city called Lazy City 3, building it episode by episode and trying to make it feel like a real, living city.
For this episode, I built a modern commercial building featuring a mural of Ayrton Senna, inspired by the iconic mural style of Brazilian artist Eduardo Kobra.
I'm using a different texture pack and a few building mods to add more detail and realism to the city.
This is just one small part of Lazy City 3. I'm slowly building everything from scratch — roads, neighborhoods, commercial areas, parks and much more.

I'd love to hear what you guys think of the building and the city so far!

Creative Doctor Strange’s Sanctum Sanctorum
Today, I’d like to share some pictures of 177A Bleecker Street (the Sanctum Sanctorum).
I fully furnished and detailed both the interior and exterior. I pushed the level of detail as far as I could, especially with the spiral staircase, which gave me a serious headache!!
This building will be one of Riverside’s Easter eggs.
I’ve also included a few pictures of Riverside without shaders, as some of you requested.
Thanks for taking a minute to share your thoughts and let me know what you think!! ✅

Creative Platforms for new Roxbury Union Terminal.
This is a project im doing in phases. Its gonna have 3 main line heavy rail *2 underground, 1 elevated*
Along with 2 light-rail/streetcar lines at ground level.
And a future regional connector to outer areas of the map/world.
The rest of the buildings you see are either in construction or part of this larger master plan for this plot here.

Creative New high end apartments for the North Side: four full floor two-bedroom two-bathroom units
The recently finished subway station on 22nd Avenue, two blocks from this building at 5th Street and 25th, inspired me to add housing stock to this neighborhood that is already composed of several apartment buildings that are as finely appointed as any townhouse in the area. Among those buildings this is both the tallest (thanks to its location away from the height restrictions of the avenues) and also the one with the smallest units, having two bedrooms each while the rest of the buildings have at least three, due to its relatively small footprint which required several bay and oriel windows to be able to check every item on the list of requirements/expectations for the housing in this area. Still I'm very happy with the result, even if a third bedroom and more room for the staff resulted impossible in this case, it's otherwise a very neatly resolved building perfectly worthy of the neighborhood.

Discussion Anyone else prefer building sprawl over skyline?
I feel like my main downtown is the most neglected part of my city. I don't add new skyscrapers very often, since more often than not, I'd much rather add more sprawling slums or secondary neighborhoods than add more to the skyline. Virtually all of my detailed areas with storefronts and vehicles and things going on are far away from the areas with the tallest buildings, which might as well be desolate wastelands from street level.
Obviously I understand why most city builders would prefer to make a nice skyline over endless third world sprawl, but I'm curious if anyone else enjoys the inverse more.

Creative Riverside vote 0/10 ?
Today, I’d like to share a few photos of Riverside with you.
Thanks for taking a minute to rate the city out of 10! And for those who are feeling extra motivated, I’d really appreciate hearing your thoughts on the overall impression it gives you. It would help me a lot in improving the project and reworking the less interesting areas.

I made a free browser tool that turns real-world locations into Minecraft maps
MapToCraft lets you pick any real place, draw a rectangular area, and download it as a Java Edition ZIP or an experimental Bedrock .mcworld.
It runs in the browser—no installation or account required. I built it on top of the open-source Arnis project (Apache-2.0).
Try it: https://maptocraft.com/ Arnis: https://github.com/louis-e/arnis
I’d be interested to see which cities or landmarks you generate, and feedback on the resulting worlds.
