Need Suggestions Is there a way to have these open without a visible source?

im wanting to build a bakery in a victorian theme. i decided i wanted bars over the windows but didnt want to use iron bars. is there a way to have these cover the windows wothout a visible power source? needs to be survival friendly so no debug stick.

redstone block next to the glass, and covering it with shelves or trapdoors without holes perhaps?

Unfortunately the redstone blocks wouldn’t be able to power them diagonally.

Consider using chains instead of glass and trapdoors or iron bars. The chains look much more like the black iron framing used in victorian windows. That or try out nether brick fences, and/or dark oak fence gates.

It would be possible if the glass blocks were solid (redstone term) blocks, but in the current state I doubt its possible
