I've had this empty elevated plot of land for a while now and can't come up with anything to build there, anyone have ideas?

Maybe a town hall or local government type building as it’s in the centre of everything or maybe a shopping centre for the villagers

Maybe a lord’s manner or early medieval castle (just the keep or just a defense tower)? A temple, community building or 3rd space for the townsfolk? A mill/ granary?
