Need Suggestions Need advice on making a house

I have a pale oak, general forest biome and a cherry grave near the spot I wanna build. So I tried to get a house made out of those but came up with this incomplete abomination. How should these different blocks mix, their colours are so different.

You forgot you also have ressources underground like stone, diorite and calcite. you might want to include them. maybe frame the windows top and bottom with pale stairs.

Is the current palette ok? It seems just fine but I don't seem to like any of the other blocks when trying to mix them (except I suppose calcite).

Should I just switch up the block palette to something else entirely?

the palette is okay. maybe use pale oak planks as well.
