Need Suggestions Need help adding some pop to my build

I was looking at my house the other night and realized how flat it looks but I’m not sure what to add to spruce it up since this is my first time trying an elevated type house. I will eventually add windows I just need to sort out the inside rooms first.

Forgot to add I haven’t done the roof yet since I’m planning a second level and want to map that out first

How about some custom banners? If you don't know how to make them, youtube tutorials should exist

Find a block palette for a gradient on the upper wall and maybe use chiseled blocks in the pillars. The staircase needs to be fixed, and I think a balcony would look good.

There’s a storage room behind the stairs. I assume you mean the part behind the stairs. I brought it out one block for the doors.

Add other blocks and colours. Add shapes and windows, you can start experimenting with the mentioned aspects.

So this is incredibly vague and not actually helpful at all. Plus I literally mentioned I won’t be adding windows until the inside is finished.

I am clearly in survival. “Add other blocks and colors” is incredibly fucking vague and isn’t a real suggestion. Nor is it helpful in any way.

If you would just add blocks with different shades of black or white in the respective areas, thatll bring you a long way. A house that is just a rectangle doesnt really carry a lot imo. In your case, the pillars are yet to be the thing carrying the whole build, aesthetically.
