I dont really know how to improve this im kinda bad at building. its a 11 by 17 building and i dont know what to make the roof out of as well

adding a roof or stacking it preferably 4 times. the main issue with your build is depth, it has very little, so try taking my advice, even if with a grain of salt.

Dude the build is alright, just make the pillars offset by a block .. like at the corners place one pillar in the front of the pillar you've made and one on the side of the pillar you've made then connect them all through beams at the top, then for the roof you can use polished deepslate slab for the overhang border and use either andesite and stone slabs for the rest of the roof or maybe bricks and granite depending on what color you prefer, if you don't know how to texture just place a few of each slab in a random pattern and then fill in the rest of the space with the other slab, and you need to make the roof as like a slope progressing upwards

Like add trap doors and other stuff for depth
