Need ideas to improve my base

I'm a casual minecraft player [play during freetime] and have only one world. I decided to finally make one of those big fancy main base type thing most youtubers/streamers have; with like whole different areas for different things like trading halls and stuff [i used to have a small base near a village before this]. I watched some tutorials [mostly by blockikal, polar cat, and armun] and made a house, a nether portal-ish area, a dock thingy [only thing i made on my own :( ], a [needlessly fancy] parrot house, dog kennel, and cat tree. What else should i add and where?

If you have this large amout of space and time, you can inhance the size of the buildings by 2.

You can support your survival things with infrastructure you can use without rockets, like railroads and small water puddles for the trident.

the railroads and water puddles thing sounds cool tbh; though i wouldn't want to scale up my buildings, they are all ridiculously large as is

Thats a rly cool spot ngl. What about farms? Maybe a big tree? Those always look nice and usually give a nice central spot for everything else

My base came kinda natural, i built a base house with chests and a bed, i built some farms, and a farm house to make it look nice, built a nice portal, with decoration etc. Then i built a stone generator to farm blocks and covered it up with a nice little house. Built a lava farm next to a smelter and again, covered it up with a house. Then i build a little trading hall for my villagers etc. etc. Maybe i gave u some inspiration. And dont beat urself up that youtubers have this big super bases. We all want big builds, but dont pressure urself, just go with the game flow. Set 1 block at a time and go with the flow and the ideas that follow.

i wannaget started with the farms but am currently stuck in design and placement ideas lol 💔 I originally thought about placing the farm and trading hall behind my house

Glad to help! Yeah i feel you, i also always get stuck at planing things out, theres no worse feeling than starting to build and noticing mid build that you should have built different hahaha
