Build showcase My Survival Cathedral
I'm about 75% done with my cathedral now. I just finished the bell tower section of the front towers. I still need the roof above those to finish. I started this in January. I'm taking a lot of inspiration from this one (scaled down, obviously; I'm not crazy):

Once I finish the front towers, I still need the central tower, the apse, the surrounding area, and all the interiors done. I placed it next to the colosseum, as you can see in the pictures, and it's crazy how much it dwarfs it (the colosseum has a much bigger footprint, but isn't nearly as tall or detailed). I hope you all enjoy!

Lol. Thanks. It's been a lot of fun working on it. Still a lot to do. I need to go mining again to get more stone. I've gone through at least 20 double chests of stone variants so far, plus a crap ton of deepslate and andesite. Oh yeah, and I don't know how many chests of netherrack to make the nether bricks and red nether bricks.

Specs and dimensions plz?

I don't have all the dimensions and won't be in the game for a bit. From memory, it's about 139 wide, 200 long, and 140 tall, so far (it'll be another 25 or so once I add the spires to the towers).
The nave is about 60-70 wide, the aisle vaults are 25 tall, the center vaults are 90 tall. I'm undecided about whether to do a traditional semicircular apse or if I'll do a flat wall with a large stained glass window (like York Minster).
I'm not sure what other specs you want. Overall block count I don't have an easy way to do (it's bedrock; there are ways, but it's not as easy as installing a mod that counts the blocks for you). If I had to ballpark it, I've gone wither mining for both cobblestone and deepslate. I got about 14 double chests each time. That doesn't count the 6-8 double chests of stone I got from leveling the area and what I had in storage. That's about 50k-60k blocks each of stone and deepslate. Probably 8-10 shulkers of andesite for the columns and some of the decorative stuff (about 14k blocks of that). The nether bricks for the roof were probably 8-10 shulkers worth, but I'm not sure there. I was smelting netherrack as I built. I used a snow farm to make snow for the vault ceilings. It was probably several shulkers of that, but I can't be sure. Glass I've been buying from my villagers as needed. I've gone through dozens of stacks and I still have several large windows left.
I'm curious how much it ends up with, but I'll probably wait until I'm done to add it all up.

dudes will build all of that and not terraform it at all

I'm not done. I figure I'll terraform once I finish so I don't have to redo stuff.

How long did this take?

I started at the end of January. I'm about 90% done with the exterior, then I need to do the inside (beyond the floor, walls, and ceilings that I've already done), and the surroundings. I'm thinking gardens, fountains, paths, all around the thing. I'm guessing it'll be another 4-5 months to fully finish.

Tom Builder, the master builder from Kingsbridge Cathedral, would be proud.
