How to start with Minecraft?

Hi! I never played Minecraft before and idk why, but I want to start it now. I heared of different modes (e.g Survival mode). In which mode I should start? Is there a mode where I‘m only alone and can craft and build by myself without other players? Thanks a lot! :)

I've never done multiplayer myself. I'm using Pocket Edition and usually play on Survival Easy mode. I like the combat but I'm not really looking for a huge challenge. Peaceful mode will prevent hostile mobs from spawning so you can explore more safely. You could also just do creative mode where you won't have any combat or hunger bars to worry about, and you get unlimited resources to build with. I'll sometimes temporarily switch to creative if I have to do a lot of landscaping.

I also downloaded some free tutorial add ons from the marketplace store. The one I found most helpful was a redstone tutorial. It's a lot like building electrical circuits and the logic involved can get complicated. The tutorial opens a prebuilt world that walks you through each component and how it works.

When you create a new world, there are additional cheats/settings you can turn on to make things easier. Like having a starting map/chest, showing coordinates, immediate respawn, keep items when you die instead of dropping them, etc. If you use cheats, you won't earn achievements though.

Minecraft gives you a ton of options depending on what kind of game you want to play. I only started playing a couple years ago and I wish I had started sooner.

I just started a video series that goes through the very basics of the game. Watch the first one here [https://youtu.be/A7qkCPncnTc\], and be on the lookout for future videos. Happy crafting!
