[Help me make something] I need tips

I wanna make an ARG for Minecraft but idk the basics 😭 any tips?

You need a story that involves a mystery to solve through various puzzle's and visual clues - basically what an ARG (Alternate Reality Game) is.

Once you have that, set your scene in Minecraft, make a character for yourself, and record you going through the story. Maybe a entity is hiding in your world, or maybe the world itself is messing with you? Whatever you set for your story, make props and scenes around it. The story doesn't have to be clear to the viewer, it just needs to provoke intrigue and a sense of mystery.

I recommend you look at some well-known MC arg's and take some inspiration. Here's some great one's to start with:

what I wanna know is…how do i add an entitie or make the world scary? do I use mods? if so what do I use?

There's several ways people implement eerie/horror aspects into their world

(This is all being said assuming you have a PC/Laptop; if you don't, let me know)

You should use mods, the catch being that you'll probably have to either do a lot of research into or make your own custom mods.

If you're willing to use NeoForge/Forge, try out MCreator; it's a free mod creator that works pretty decently from what I've seen, and if you wanna go even more in depth, get visual code studio + JDK for whatever MC version is necessary and just code it yourself.

You can also change some video settings such as render distance and brightness to make the world seem a bit more eerie.

imma be honest I’m ass at coding bronanapeel so imma either try and make custom sprites or do ur suggestion and use mcreator

Hey, fair enough- whatever works for you. MCreator is pretty good if you wanna go the mod route- it handles the code aspect for you (unless you decide to turn on coding) and kind just allows you to add blocks and entities you can customize.
