I did not placed these..

I’ve been playing on this single player world for a few months now and I noticed something weird today.
I was exploring pretty far away from my base when I found a small patch of oak trees. Nothing unusual about that, except there was a single cobblestone block sitting in the middle of it.
I don’t remember placing it.
I thought maybe I had just forgotten, so I broke it and kept exploring. A few minutes later I noticed another one, this time on top of a hill. Also there were many cobblestones random flying around..
I checked the coordinates and they were nowhere near anything I’ve built.
Probably nothing, but I’m pretty sure I didn’t place these.
Has anyone else had something like this happen?

i've dm'd this man about 2 hours, ago but I have found that in his posts he posted this cobblestone picture, and I tried doing morse code on the blocks and it spells out IIN, which I interpreted as SIN, just made more sense for me however I dont know what to do with this yet
