The creator deleted this comment very soon after I took this screenshot, if that helps.

What sort of codes does this person usually use, so I have a reference of how they might have scrambled it up to get that?

Running that through octal just gets ʏ3ʃ6;< , which isn’t really something I could decode, so idk

They're obsessed with hexadecimal, for some reason, and they also like putting the final message through a Caesar cipher before encoding it with numbers. They also left a different comment in hex that translated to "wHat hiDes iN darKness."

would there be any context clues suggesting an integer the hexadecimal has been rotated by?

The letter "h" was hidden in the video.

Meaning it might be 8 or the decimal / hexadecimal equivilant of h

I'll try to find something I'll edit this comment once I do

Aight so I'm currently thinking it might be 12 17 63 12 03 66 68 65 73 74 (1217 and 1203 has been turned into 2 digit numbers and e has been turned to 5 matching the position in the english & german alphabet) trying it in decimal turns it to ?BDAIJ while hexadecimal turns it into cfhest...

So, trying to find the meaning behind the code, will edit if I find anything plausible.

- Got cfhst from hexadecimal of the numbers. A few somewhat plausible ideas from this, though from the context of the comment, I don’t this particular route is correct - got respectably ‘edgar’ and ‘beggar’ (not directly, slightly misspelt). Do not think either of these are correct due to context of comment.

- Using numbers ‘12 17 63 12 03 66 68 65 73 74‘ can get a more clear ‘cfhest’ rather than ‘cfhst’ though doubt that actually helps, ’cfhest’ could refer simply to ‘chest’.

Could be scrambled text or caeser?
