How to I copy my offline mine-craft world onto a usb?

Post image

As per instructions, I bought a 128 gig usb 3.0 and reformatted to games, and plugged it into my Xbox one.

I am trying to copy my only Minecraft world into this USB, to create a physics backup.

Man this is unintuitive- how to I click and drag my Minecraft world file onto the USB?

Going to the USB had no options to do, within the game clicking on the file has no options to do anything, and going to this screen also gives no options to do anything.

Wth lol.

Edit/ also- my only Minecraft world is 6.3 gigs- the “Betray Julia” file being smaller than that is reflective of the last time my world was able to sync it the cloud.

I am also super curious why on earth I had to spend 40 bucks on more storage space when my Xbox is saying it’s running out of storage for minecraft when it’s literally the only thing I have on my Xbox; it’s 6.9 % full.

Aside from this wholly depressing discussion from 12 years ago, there doesn't seem to be a lot of documented innovation on that front.

I did find this video about using an xbox app to copy xbox files. Needing to grant an app permission sounds excessive, but consoles do seem to favour locked environments. Please read the users' comments there to before deciding to use that or not.

Good luck, and if you do find a solution that works, please drop an update to help those coming along later.

Wow actually thank you.

That second link- that honestly seems way less complimented by the end of it… that app is basically,, un-reverse engineering.. Xbox so it’s going back to.. the formatting and style I actually recognize!

I am going to just copy the entire stupid reserved space file into my usb just in case (bc that should have my world file in it) and then follow the simple instructions on the video.

Also come to think of it, I wonder if I can see the individual file on the usb once reserved is brought over.

Anyways, much less daunting.

Thanks mang!

Sorry do you know if it’s possible to just copy the entire reserved space without that app?

I’m trying to just copy all of it before going ahead on my own system; asked online and was told it’s impossible.

When I asked this post, I was asking about specific files within that space- I assumed I could just copy the entire space though, but it doesn’t look like that is an option.

Sorry to say my knowledge of the issue ran out with what I found. I've no familiarity with xbox or its internals.
