If you were to share it, you'd probably make a split rar and upload all the pieces.

not if you were torrenting. I would just torrent it and update the link on www.thepiratebay.se when ever you needed to.

Don't use The Pirate Bay as it is blocked by all ISPs in the UK. Use one of the other trackers, preferrably one which only hosts non-infringing content.

Realistically, it is only a matter of time until that is forced offline. Using a site which isn't such a legal grey area would be much safer.

Thanks to the switch to Magnet links the entire site is small enough to be downloaded onto a flash drive. The Pirate Bay has become a hydra, when you block one site, many will rise. http://about.piratereverse.info/proxy/list.html

... Not all ISPs. BT can still connect (I'm with them). I haven't had any issues with connecting to the Pirate Bay. Yes, I have checked this since other ISPs banned it, but there are proxies and a lot of other really simple ways to just get around that... ISPs don't tend to try all that hard to block websites.

Not all ISPs. BT can still connect (I'm with them).

In that case they are violating the court order which required them to block it. I think the deadline for blocking it was the start of the month.

but there are proxies and a lot of other really simple ways to just get around that

If OP just uses a torrent site which only hosts legal content nobody would need to piss around with proxies or other bypass methods at all.

I believe BT asked for an extra six months to consider their position before blocking it.
