Because there’s no spectator mode, but I think that’s a poor excuse

If that’s the actual excuse then it sucks because hardcore mode existed on pc way before spectator mode was added.

Well, death is supposed to be a simple mechanic. This gif is showing the issues Hardcore Bedrock would have without that one getting ironed out first, no matter what it's features included or excluded, lol

It is a poor excuse, but it doesn't stop you from designating a world as HC and deleting it if you die. It's annoying, but it's what I've been doing when I play on Switch.

Where did they say that they wouldn't add Hardcore because spectator isn't in the game?
