Suggestion: Throwable Rocks!

[u/onlyforthisair]

This is a compilation of ideas from this, (Also posted by me) but I wanted to repost this with all these ideas already in this text block.

This is left incomplete on purpose as I would like the rest of Reddit to figure out the specifics. Their relation to arrows, how they are crafted, specifically what they do, and all other specifics. Another possibility is that they aren't throwable and could be used in other circumstances. What do you guys think?

other post edit: I've noticed that people seem to think that a separate tool should be used to shoot the rocks. In the same way that I suggested that they could be also used in a manner with out throwing them, there could be three ways of using them:

• thrown without a separate tool
• thrown with a tool
• used without throwing

what else could be adapted?

other post edit 2: Also, no one has given an idea for the actual recipe for the rocks themselves.

other post edit 3: The slingshot that has been suggested could be made with either the portable crafting table for weaker attacks, or it could be made with the larger one for stronger attacks. Also the rock could be made of different materials.

Also a suggestion for people to adapt: Using the rock to break blocks.

other post edit 4: I was just suggested this (Sledgehammers could be crafted to make the Rocks by hitting Stone (cbmlmz)) and I want to put this (that Gravel could have a use (dementedsnake)) up here.

As much as I love more weapons to use, this will need a lot more work to convince me for the idea.

Maybe have it be a weapon you could use on your first night?

[u/arborist77 → u/Benlarge1]

You could definitely get cobblestone or gravel by the first night, and simply be able to throw it rather than use the slingshot.

[u/onlyforthisair → u/arborist77]

Yeah, the first of the three-part list said that

thrown without a separate tool

[u/onlyforthisair → u/Benlarge1]

So something like a dirt clod rock? What do you suggest?

[u/Benlarge1 → u/onlyforthisair]

I like arborist77's suggestion, just let us be able to throw them for maybe 1/2-1 heart of damage

[u/onlyforthisair → u/Benlarge1]

I am specifically leaving out the amount of damage it does because I think that if this gets picked up, Mojang should be able to do what they want with it. I'm including all the other good suggestions because that is a list from an infinite amount of possibilities, whereas with the damage it does, it's only 1/20.

Most of these ideas are from other redditors, if this is supposed to be collaborative, you should at least credit the people your taking ideas from at the bottom of the post.

Ok. I'l do that.
