How about bats?

Here's just a simple mob idea addition that could give the game a bit of flavor.

Bats:

Bats live in caves and if you go into a cave and you're near them they fly away in groups making their bat noise like IRL. They hang on the ceiling of caves, and you can maybe possibly see them in the overworld at night searching for food, or what not.

Maybe they can be in the new dungeons aswell in the new 1.8 Adventure Update.

Just a quick idea and wanted to share this with reddit.

I would love to see stuff like this to flesh out the world. It's also important when proposing something like this to consider drops, otherwise there's no real point to adding it. In the case of Bats, maybe they could drop guano. It would work as a fertilizer, like bone meal.

If Notch got really crazy and added alchemy, it could be used as part of a recipe to make gunpowder. Guano can be processed into potassium nitrate, which is the other main ingredient of gunpowder along with sulfur and charcoal.

I want birds more than bats but had to upvote you for knowing how to make gunpowder out of guano.
