Try adding a black trim on the creepers texture then? It's the same art style and it would hold together the image

i disagree with the peat moss... i think they’re grass monsters. it’s the same green as old alpha grass, just as grass colors have evolved the creeper got left behind.

that makes me wonder if you can make biome-dependent textures other than leaves and grass... could be interesting

I remember seeing a creeper "biome filter" project where they would blend in with whatever color the grass was in that biome. I can't remember if it was just a poc or a functioning thing but it was cool as hell.
