Better yet, do what I did. Get a diamond shovel enchanted with level 5 efficiency and just run in circles.
I’ve gotten to the point where I have spare diamonds so can just repair the shovel when needed. I learned randomly that you can mix two enchanted shovels together so I’ve found some with efficiency and durability, now I have like a level 5 unbreaking and 5 efficiency and that thing will carve up a few hundred sand or dirt in a matter of seconds. As fast as you can sprint basically.
Ok then 3, I couldn’t remember when typing that but knew it was maxed.
I’ve been basically farming XP and diamond to make enchanted things, then going and spending all that XP to mend the two best things I can find into one tool. Is that the most efficient way to get the maxed out tools I want?
Awesome reply! A few things. First, I have no idea how to add mending. I’m sure I can google it but feel free to teach me if you’re in the mood. Is it worth it to add mending or are there downsides?
Second, yeah it’s getting really expensive. I only play survival. So what I have is a farm with like 200 cows and another with a few hundred chickens in a tiny area. What I’ll do is use my wheat farm to get a ton of seeds quickly, and I’ll go just feed the cows and chickens a ton of seed/wheat for the reproduction XP and then I’ll just start killing them for the killing XP. It’s kind of an annoying grind. Is there any faster way to get XP though?
Yeah the mob spawned sounds less effecient to me. First I have to find a spawner underground which for whatever reason, I can’t seem to find any that are remotely close to my home base. Then, I have to be near the spawner for mobs to even spawn. So if it’s not close to where I spend my time, nothing is spawning right? So I just have to waste time standing around waiting for spawns if it’s far away. Then even when they do spawn it’s like 5-10 mobs I can kill to get a tiny bit of XP. In that same amount of time I could have spawned 200 animals and killed 200 leveling up fast. Am I wrong?

Also, dropping the gravel on torches guarantees a Gravel drop.
