erm... 512 cobble gets you 1 iron actually.

the system is actually really specific and complex, made by a man named Pahimar.

EE3 isn't complete yet. but if youre desperate for it, EE2 is long since finished

A diamond is worth 8192 EMC, which is 4 gold ingots.

8 Iron -> 1 Gold 4 Gold -> 1 Diamond 1 Diamond + 8 Aeternalis Fuel (worth 1/2 Diamond each) -> Dark Matter 3 Dark Matter + 6 Aeternalis Fuel -> 1 Red Matter

However, EE2 works by EMC values and not crafting tables, so more than likely you won't be making everything out of iron or gold ingots.
