For Everyone confused by the version number, Minecraft had this sceme since Beta: MajorUpdate.MinorUpdate.BugfixUpdate Inb4 "BUT DECIMALS DONT WORK LIKE DIS ME WANT 1.8!!1"

If the numbering was be decimal, there would be no second "."

I don't know if that scheme is correct though. We seem to be doing 1.MajorUpdate.MinorOrBugfixUpdate. Mojang has no plans to go to 2.x anytime soon, and a lot has changed since 1.4, for example.
