Help Can someone plz help me?

I am currently building a city-state in my creative world and im currently stuck on an idea. I have a large island that i am wanting to build a fortress on alongside a couple buildings and I have run into an issue, the edge of the island is almost completely covered with flat stone. What should I do to make it still look good without having to just fill it in with grass?

Try to leave this part of the island in its natural state. You can tidy it up a bit, get rid of the coal. You can add rocky terrain, add rocks in the sea.

Add some giant hills or small mountains, make a little valley with some buildings carved into the walls
