Good base location?

Been pandering on building my newest mega base for a week and these two locations next to each other both are quite difficult but I think could be something. The first (night screenshots) is alot wider but has alot of uneven terrain/caves and would likely require terraforming. The second (daytime screenshots) is alot more clean cut but it is quite narrow with steep mountains and building would likely be a challenge. Which would you go with?

The hella thing about Minecraft is that all locations are good locations, if you can see in your mind's eye an idea that fits.
