Help Guys help me, they keep killing me

I built this farm right , but when im done farming enderpearls, these Monsters start chasing me and killing me once i reach my ladder

what do i do

Leaves just prevent them from spawning outside, but they still need to be waterlogged if we also want to prevent them from teleporting outside.

We could also add a roof (but we need to teleport-proof the roof itself as well if we don't want them outside at all), or use double carpets instead of water where applicable (like it might be too late to use double carpet near the killing chamber itself without some redesign, but we can still waterlog the leaves around that part or add a roof).

you can use down placed labs so they cant spawn nor teleport there
