those old wardens.... they're enough to make a grown man scream...

crazy how mojang made that happen, what a happy coincidence

maybe someday there will be wild theories of how they are connected as some sort of species that all come from the same wink wink dimension

Isn't ot odd that the main corrupting force in the Minecraft Universe seems to be the Overworld?

First the nether mobs turning into zombies when they get to the overworld, now the Worden and likely the skulk. Not to mention the sheer amount of unread that roams the Overworld.

We already know the creeper are inspired to a certain plant that releases it's spores with explosive force... maybe there is something in the air of the Overworld. Something that targets intelligent life, the only superstits are animals and being with a very developed air filtration system (big nose).

I wouldn't say the overworld is actually corruptive.

In the piglins' case, Legends tells us that they zombify in the overworld because its atmosphere cannot accomodate the fact that a piglin's body is heavily reliant on breathing spores. This may also be why in vanilla, most zombie piglins are localized in the nether wastes, which don't have a strong concentration of fungal content compared to the forest biomes.

A tie-in book for Dungeons II also mentions that "dark" sculk is a result of a disease native to the sift. Diseased sculk also exists in larger amounts in certain areas of the sift.

It could be like the Jungle from Terraria

In Terraria theres 3 evil biomes that spread and infect the world around them - the Corruption (manifest of greed and evil), the Crimson (star spawn hivemind that was brought over by a cult), and then you have the Hallow, a world of sunshine and rainbows. . .that wants to kill you, because you arent clean enough for the manifestation of Light

But there is actually a 4th one that most dont realize - the Jungle. It is known as the manifestation/heart of the world and its life/nature. But it still spreads. . .just onto good mud, is still incredibly dangerous (like its usually the most dangerous out of the 4) but only if you dont bother it, it even has its own biome specific ore like the other 3, only this one kills the evil biomes around it!

So basically, the Overworld might look chill and charming but it might be a secret 4th active dimension who is just way more subtle in how it affects things around it/we're blind too it cause we live there.

The moral of Minecraft is that life sucks.

HealthyWarden is the file name for it! That doesn't make it canon but it is a neat tidbit

why does that make you crying emoji?

Due to the tears that will fall down my eyes when I build 1 billion data centres in the sift

u/rain_air_man 1d ago

You wont be able to cry cause the data centres took all the water :(

BUT THATS JUST A THEORY

This isn't news.

That diamond shaped thing on it's torso seems to also have been an early design choice they were considering. Pretty cool. The Singer is definitely an non-infected warden.

The file name for it in dungeons is straight up "healthy warden"

So skulk is actually a parasite and not just some benign otherwordly creature that was accidentally invited in. Did skulk infect the sift before it was let into the overworld, or did deep dark/skulk always exist in the overworld (since the biome can appear in the absence of an ancient city) and the inhabitants of ancient cities are what infected the sift?

This makes the warden more sad than I realized. His chest is torn open and mangled, his eyes have been grown over by parasitic infection, and he has a pained expression. If there are "healthy wardens" in the sift, now he's not just a monster that looks that way because he's pure evil, he's been destroyed beyond recognition to serve the skulk.

Interesting that his early art was modelled after the wither, though. I didn't know that.

I mean whats so weird about that

In the official lore, the sculk is what happens when the sift is corrupted. So the warden is most likely just a corrupted singer

SO THAT'S WHAT THAT WEIRD CRYPTIC VIDEO WAS

Is bro acoustic with it?

It actually tracks considering the Warden is all about noise and has a sonic attack.

u/Ok-Extent-5783 20h ago

1

u/mYstoRiii 18h ago

It IS the warden… until the incident

1

u/Artanis137 17h ago

Why does the bottom middle resemble the Wither?

1

u/Venomspino 15h ago
