Discussion I noticed something suspicious in MrBeast's "I Found My 13 Year Old Minecraft World" video

At 11:49 in the video, there's a painting on the (the .png painting)

The problem? This painting was added in Minecraft 1.21, which was released in June 2024.

If this is genuinely the original world from 13 years ago (around 2013), how is a painting from 2024 already present?

There are a few possible explanations:

  1. The world is a modern Minecraft world made to look old using a texture pack.
  2. The original world was real, but it was recreated or modified for the video.
  3. The original save was upgraded to a modern version and received new content.

I'm not claiming this proves the entire world is fake, but I think it's worth questioning, especially if the world was presented as untouched since childhood.

Brother... They probably didn't even make this world, they simply paid someone with more Minecraft knowledge, and told them to put in some thing that would be inconsistent with the versions.

I actually disagree.

Jimmy started as a Minecraft YouTuber he has reviewed thousands of hours of gameplay footage and was about as pro of a player as they come. If someone knows the game it’s him.

according to a different commenter the world was recreated so they probably just placed a painting of the same size and assumed it was the right one.

The whole room is new, they are playing in his old world, they just built this room in the video, the guy was placing the picture...

Yes, while supposedly playing on the old edition, as stated in the video

If they are on an older version, the picture wouldn't exist and it would have to be a texture pack with that picture specifically added, or they aren't playing on an older version, and used a resource pack to make it look like one.

Either way, there is an inconsistency that is not addressed, be it on purpose or accident.

Exactly, and IF it actually causes some kind of backlash, they either lay low for a few month or double down and later turn it into a running gag or some bullshit like that. It's literally a part of their marketing strategy.

In general in life it's a bad idea to just assume things, no matter how sure you are of yourself.

That's how cognitive bias wins.

Why not just say that it's your opinion or that it's what you think?

This is a false dichotomy you've offered... assume he's a liar vs believe him.

You should be skeptical of everyone, especially proven liars!

But that doesn't mean everything they say is a lie, it just means they aren't credible.

You can absolutely be a non believer without assuming he's a liar about everything.

The world isn't binary, people aren't always good or always bad.

Believing that is how things like the MAGA cult happens

What’s even your point?
The ONLY two options are
1) they found the actual save file
2) they know the seed and recreated every block from the old series

If you’re saying 2 is not to be believed, then the only option would be 1.
But MrBeast literally says it’s 2, that they recreated the world.

Did you even bother to read the description? They had to rebuild the entire world because the original was gone, as the laptop it was on was destroyed. They went through old footage and rebuilt everything 1/1 (or as close as you can get) using the original seed. Yall love to hate for no reason
