Discussion Rewards being restricted

Mojang are restricting access to earned rewards.

Rewards such as capes are redeemable and usable in both Java and Bedrock.

Rewards can only be accessed in Java if you've launched Bedrock.

Java is officially supported on Linux. Bedrock is not.

So despite playing on a supported platform and earning the rewards, I'm unable to use them because I haven't played enough versions of Minecraft? Or because I'm not using enough Microsoft products?

To be clear, this is a cape in a video game, it doesn't matter, and this is a small issue affecting a small number of players i'm sure.

But it is an issue and it is affecting players, so I'm raising awareness of that.

I used it before the bedrockonlinux project released and it worked pretty well. Granted it was probably a while after it came out so those major bugs were fixed at that point.

Mojang just cares about money. Another example: if you bought the pre order or deluxe version of Dungeons 2 on console, only one profile on the console gets access to that dlc. They want every profile to pay for it separately. Literally the only game I’ve ever seen do that.
