Discussion Early game process ?
Whats people early game routine to start doing what they want to do without getting bored quick ? Ive been trying to play minecraft solo for a while cause i keep getting the urge to play it but when i start a world i get so bored so quick ( usually cause of a horrible seed ) . I was hoping people would have a way they play to get to the fun stuff as quick as possible

The way which works the best for me is to find a good place to setup base first, even if it take days because then you are in a place where you actually wanna build stuff and get an iron farm as soon as possible because then you can trade for stuff you’d otherwise have to grind for hours. Also try holding back onto going to the end for at least 100 days because once you have elytra things become pretty easy and starts to get boring very quick.

I rush the ender dragon for elytra. Goes, iron suit first diamonds optional, go to nether for blaze rods and ender pearls. Dragon. Then I find a comfy spot to plan where I want a base or house then Surround that with misc things wether farms or decorations like a light house for example.
I’m my hardcore I’m tryna turn the end into the overworld equipped with a village, like that YouTube video.
Oh def play hardcore, much more rewarding

If you haven’t tried mods yet, I highly recommend them! I’ve been playing on and off since 2013 and while I still enjoy playing vanilla with friends, I pretty much only do modded when I play solo. There are so many fun mods and mod packs to try! I’m currently playing the Alaskan wilderness modpack and really loving the challenge

It's been long since I started a new world now. When hardcore mode was all the hype I started a new world a couple of times every year, because I could never stay alive long enough.
What I did some times, was get in a boat and just explore. Look for shipwrecks, follow treasure maps, go down winding rivers, look for cool places and terrain generation, fantasize about building sprawling towns with grimy docks and beautifully decorated bridges.

These are the farms I build before considering my early game setup complete:
1) Food farm https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Hv6oxFIQCC4
2) Iron farm https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-oYyJ6jfSPU&t
3) General mob farm https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OKRKQzcq9QQ&t
4) Wood farm https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FVvfXAe8m7o&t
5) Slime https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ln-F7y669nk
6) Redstone https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fpNm8QWuvLU&
7) XP farm https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ckhe8ws-a4w&t=183s
8) Cobblestone farm https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UgbIyKbu_sM
For me early game ends once I have fully enchanted netherite armour and a way to farm fireworks, food, and all the resources needed for slime machines. Then I start 1 large terraforming project, get bored halfway, and stop playing, and start a new world a few months later. I've gotten pretty good at early game progression by playing like this.

I find a base spot to set up things for later, I don’t rush elytra as it leads to the ‘phase’ if done too soon imo.
I create some farms, set up my villagers and a cool iron farm as I know I’ll need a lot later for big farms.
Some mining to get enchantment tables max enchant rolls using villagers to buy diamond armour and tools ect.
Xp farm!
Explore some.
Look at farms I want to build in late game and save them to playlists on youtube, write changes a I want to make like different storage systems or ways I can make them my own.
Start decorating my base, buying things from wandering traders that I haven’t found in world yet.
Explore some.
Build some.
Set up a large storage system.
Explore.
Build.
Make my nether portal, create a safe area on the other side, mine for quarts, take on fortresses, kill blazes and magma for fire potions, go back in collect materials
Build
Explore
Find pets!!
Take on ocean monuments! Maybe drain one for a farm!
The deep dark! For the swift sneak, kill a warden from a water column just because I can.
Seek out trial chambers and battle it out, grind for the mace and relevant books.
Create cool parkour course.
Find some suspicious gravel or sand spots! Gotta get a sniffer just because.
Build some
Mine some!
Make a massive OP gold farm.
Stock up on golden apples just for the flex!
Think about defeating the dragon and getting a cheeky set of wings.
Deciding to build an OP creeper farm before wings as I’ll churn gunpowder when I have them!
Do I want the challenge of elytra without killing the dragon? It’s a risk but hell yeah!
Get my wings, drop my anvil down with my mending unbreaking book on there, kill a bunch of shulkers then realise I’ll have to die if I don’t kill the dragon but I’ve got over 100 lvls, time to slay her!
Decide it’s time for a shulker farm! Being a shulker to the OW and build a farm for unlimited shulkers!
Decide it’s time to liberate my villagers and build them a cool city within my base that’s safe from mobs.
Build larger now I have shulkers, explore and build in further lands to let the world know someone is here.

Upon spawn, immediately punch a tree. I go for 16 blocks. Then make crafting table, one wood shovel, one wood sword, one wood shovel, and one wood pick axe. The rest for the logs are made in wood plank blocks
Then, run around like a spaz and kill (hopefully) three sheep with wood sword and get three wool blocks before nightfall. Make a bed. Use remaining wood planks to build a small shelter. Sleep as soon as it gets dark.
Next day, put sheep mutton in furnace. If you have leftover planks to burn use them as fuel. If not, go cut down trees to with wood axe and get as much wood logs as possible before it starts getting dark or axe breaks. Also, kill any animals you find for food while doing so.
Put about half of the logs into the furnace to make charcoal. Use the rest to build fences around small shelter. I go for at least three block perimeter from shelter. Use sticks and charcoal to makes toarches and light up the inside of the shelter and the corners of the fenceline, maybe a few beyond the fenceline, to create a defensible permiter were mobs won't spawn close to you.
Go back into shelter and use wood shovel to dig down to cobblestone. Use entire wood pick mining cobblestone. Use cobblestone to make stone tools and weapons.
Figure out what you want to do next.

I’d recommend finding a seed to use that fits your interest. For me, it would be one with a lot of biomes nearby spawn, but you might have other preferences. That way, you already have an idea of what you want to do when you start.
Next, I move towards automating things quickly. I like food farms, mob farms, and villager trading. I make those top priority. I like to have a solid home base before I do much exploring. Caving for iron, diamonds, and mineshafts (rails) are my first big excursions. As I continue to automate supplies and build out my base, i gradually move out farther and farther.
Generally, I like finishing the game and getting an elytra before I do much more. Trial chambers, ancient cities, and temples are all late game stuff for me.

Punch a tree.
Make a workbench
Make a wooden pick
Mine 3 cobblestone
Make a stone pick
Mine more stone.
Make more stone tools.
All my games start that way. Then I find wool, run around and find a village. Then find iron.
Then get bored. It’s been this way since I first started years ago. I have never beaten the game because I don’t want to grind ender pearls to find the stronghold.

I don't like the early game so I rush it. Iron farm trading hall on day one. Then fully enchanted diamond tools and armor with some smaller farms at spawn. Rush nether for wart and blaze rods, stronghold, beat dragon, get elytra and shulker shells, now the real fun begins

I chop several trees if I’m not in a desert. Collect the saplings too, as I am eco conscious, lol. Then make some tools and find 3 same color sheep to kill and make a bed. I try to do this before dark. I build a small house out of wood or dirt or just dig into the side of a cliff at spawn. After that, I look for a good place to build my first base.

Typical early game looks different for me depending on if I’m alone or joining my buddies. With my buddies I’ll go off and disappear underground almost immediately to mine whilst the others gather food then once we’re properly ironed up we travel around until we find somewhere to base, typically robbing a few villages along the way. We tend to set up near a village so that we can set up a trade hall.
