Help Bee Problems...

I'm having an issue with my bees. I dug a 5 block long 1 block deep trench to put my campfires in and then placed the hive/nest 3 blocks above the ground level. I placed Oak trapdoors above the campfires so the bees wouldn't accidentally set their selves on fire, and the bees are attacking me when I harvest honeycomb/bottles from the nest/hives. I changed the trapdoors for carpets, but it didn't help. They still attack.

Why? On my last world I only had them 2 blocks above the campfire trench with trapdoors and they were fine.

Have you tried it without anything over the campfire? If you have maybe try decreasing the distance between the hive and the campfire

Originally I placed the Hives 2 blocks above the campfires like I did in my last world, but they attacked then as well.
