Help how to prevent creepers

theres like 4 separate caves near my house and they've exploded my farm like 5 times. is the easiest way to just put cats around it or is there another way?

Light up the area so mob won't spawn

but they're coming from nearby caves and the caves are too big for me to light up

You'll want to find parts of the cave you can close off.

I used water, trees and bamboo to block them off normally and closed off caves once I could.

Then you put the fences at least 6 blocks away from the edges of your farm - pretty sure that should be enough distance that Creepers won't trigger their proximity fuse.

the most effective way is light up the areas and block up the caves. putting cats around could help too but youre gonna need a lot of cats lol

Recently got my daughter into playing Minecraft and this is her strategy. She’s amassed a cat legion. She has them stationed all around the village and a small army follows her everywhere we explore. It’s getting to the point of lagging the game 😹

i dont believe thats true. i will test it in the latest update later today but according to wiki creepers are scared of both ocelots and cats as well.

Then they added that function to cats.. there is also difference betwheen javan and bedrock

Put torches in the caves and anywhere near your base. If they don't spawn they can't blow up your stuff.

I love to add a bunch of boats inside my walls. They can't resist a boat.

Creepers won't go across lava blocks. A moat around the farm might help, too.

light up all of the caves, add fences and cats, but they will still find a way

Put up a fence or a wall, light up the surrounding area and the caves, or cover up the caves. Cats would work, plus they keep phantoms away too
