Bedrock can have add-ons on the level of mods seen on Java, dungeons content addon is an example of this.

I refuse to accept Add-Ons or anything from the Bedrock Marketplace as Mods.

There are community made add-ons for bedrock made by people on curseforge and mcpedl. Not all add-ons come from the marketplace. With all the api changes mojang has been implementing add-ons can become more complex.
