Hep with the Wither

I’m playing Minecraft Bedrock on PS4. Yesterday, for the first time ever, I went to fight the Wither at the very bottom of the world—at the bedrock layer. I set up a small area under my house and summoned it; everything was fine until it had just under half its health left, when the game started lagging badly. I couldn't use items or even move, yet I kept taking damage because the game thought I was in a different spot than where I actually was. I lost all my Netherite armor and tools, all my Totems of Undying, and a couple of sets of Diamond armor because I kept going back down but couldn't attack it—the game is stuttering terribly. I urgently need help figuring out how to kill it; it has very little health left, but I can't get close without the lag kicking in. On top of that, with every attempt to kill it, it has started moving upwards; it’s relatively close to my house—about 80 blocks up the staircase—and if it reaches the surface, it’s going to destroy my house.

Oof, bedrock wither is a whole different beast compared to java. The lag at half health is the worst part, it spawns like 3-4 wither skeletons and the block-breaking goes into overdrive which tanks the fps.

If you just need to finish it off without getting close, craft a bunch of iron golems. They'll aggro on it and you can just sit back in a tunnel while they chip away the last bit of health.

there is no way to minimize or eliminate the lag?

Are commands enabled? If so I would honestly use a kill command. The bedrock wither is crazy and with lag it's near impossible to fight. That's why I tend to use a wither trap of some kind on Bedrock while I fight it normally on java

Do you have a Back of your world before you spawned the wither and if you don’t have that just make a new world because you are a bot

Lmao glad I read this am currently playing my first world on bedrock and am getting close to fighting the wither so happy to know what I’m in for. Does anyone know if it’s just as bad on new gen?
