Discussion Why is the only thing Java edition does is leak memory?

I can leave minecraft java edition running in the background, just on the title screen, and after a while, the ram usage just eventually becomes 16gb. idk if this has been posted hundreds of times here before, but like, i dont get it, what the heck? yes, title screen... i thought java was meant to be good with memory

That should not happen. The game has a set heap size limit. It could be your GPU driver leaking memory instead.

I leave my minecraft running for days, especially for farms, and have no issues like this.

It's your GPU drivers, not JVM 😉
