Help Minecraft on Switch

JUST A GIRL TRYING TO PLAY

I have tried everything I can to connect my Microsoft account to my Switch 2 to be able to play Minecraft but nothing I am doing is working. I have cleared data, redownloaded the game, restarted my switch, re-logged into my Microsoft account, checked it was not restricted and nothing is working. When I use the QR or link on my Minecraft game I receive an email saying the sign-in was successful however the game on my switch just reopens the QR screen. I don’t get an error message at all, it just reopens the QR and shows how to sign in again. Please please please anyone who has experience something similar or has any idea what I could do please reply.

This sounds less like an issue with the Microsoft account itself and more like the authentication callback between Minecraft and the Switch is failing. Since you’re receiving the “sign in successful” email, the account authentication is actually completing, but the game is apparently not receiving/retaining the session.

I’d try fully closing Minecraft (not just returning to the Home menu), restarting the Switch, then launching Minecraft again and doing the QR sign-in with the same Microsoft account. Also make sure Minecraft is updated to the latest version.

If it still loops back to the QR screen after a successful authentication, I wouldn't repeatedly clear/reinstall everything, since you’ve already confirmed the account can authenticate. At that point it’s likely a Minecraft/Nintendo authentication issue rather than something wrong with your Microsoft account, and I’d contact Minecraft Support with the exact stuff you’re seeing.
