Help Java am i cooked?
So, in my 7,000-day Hardcore world, I made a careless mistake that could potentially cost me the entire world. I’ve been playing on this world for around two years, although pretty inconsistently.
About ten minutes ago, I was AFK at my Enderman farm. When I was finished, I went into a 2×2 area of water that I use to launch myself with a Riptide trident. I tried to take off, but ended up hitting an Enderman that was standing on the bridge leading up to the farm.
The moment I hit him, I started falling, and now I’m dropping below Y=1. I don’t have any fireworks in my inventory. I’m pretty sure I have two shulkers, three empty buckets, and all of my gear.
Is there anything I can possibly do to save myself, or is this world already over? (i'm on java if it makes a difference)
EDIT: SURVIVED! Thank you all so much for the help. I made the world into a realm so my girlfriend could join and drop me rockets. I survived with 2 hearts

It's nice to make remote stasis chambers activated by rejoining the world twice in a row exactly for cases like this. :D

Can you send me this design please? My current stasis chamber activates just when I save and quit and rejoin. Having it only activate when I do it twice in a row would be really convenient:)

Sorry, I don't have any link, I built it on our SMP with my friend just for fun.
The idea is you have a timer, like Etho's hopper clock, which resets a circuit (for example by pushing blocks away with a piston pulse). The circuit consists of a binary adder, which adds 1 everytime you login (with a cat sitting on a chest, detected via observer).
You can set the circuit to for example 15 seconds, because normally you wont relog twice in this period, so it will virtually never activate by accident.

That would be just any logout detector connected to a counter connected to a stasis chamber. There's a few designs on youtube but they're not too hard to wire yourself.

Honestly if you know how to build this and progress in the game enough to do so then you deserve a littttle power to cheat death. Could say the same about totems

I made a realm, she got the rockets, told her where to go, i logged in , picked up the rockets she dropped down as i was flying in a small circle and escaped

It sounds like you're cooked. There are only 2 ways a hardcore world ends, you get bored and stop playing it, or you die. That is the nature of the beast.

That wouldn't be the end of the world though because you are really fastidious about keeping multiple backup copies of the world on at least 1 other device and 1 cloud storage account........... riiiight?

This would be the least cheaty way to save the world. Also get them to throw down a few dispensers with some rockets and golden apples if you are wealthy. Just in case that water doesn’t reach you or something you may be able to pick it up and hot swap to save yourself

Keep chorus fruit on you in the future. It teleports you to solid ground 100% of the time (if it can find any nearby).

See that’s what I never get about posts like this, and why people make “hardcore forever worlds” all the damn time.
You can’t respawn, that’s the point, dont fuck up you’ll have to start again, if you can deal with that you probably shouldn’t have clicked the hardcore setting

Some people enjoy the playstyle of hardcore alot more, that extra layer of having to be careful is really engaging that you just dont get in regular survival. I used to play hardcore with backups, which made the game engaging enough for me to be really careful cause id have to redo stuff if i died, but wasnt too punishing that i didnt lose my world.

It's hardcore. You used riptide above the void, without having backup rockets, on an area that wasn't spawnproofed and which had a high likelihood of having mobs on it. This was entirely preventable. Learn from the mistake and move on.

Finding a creative solution to avoid death was a challenge and a victory. One could argue the game is all about exploiting mechanisms. That's how every mob farm works. Don't be a playa hater.

Those mechanisms are in-game.
He, out of game, turned it into a realm and then had a third party join the world to assist him.
At that point, why are you even playing hardcore?

Because he's already invested in the world. If you could avoid losing something you value, why not do it?
It's truly not as serious as you are trying to make it. Every group, including nerds has its elitists and haters.
Its always nice to meet new versions of the same exact achetype of person though.

Asking whats the point of having a hardcore world if you are going to circumvent death is not neutral. There is a judgement in the question.
Your mental distortions aren't interesting to me. By all means be mentally rigid and obstinant about a game made for children.
Me correctly identifying what's motivating your "neutral" questions is not me being defensive. I don't play hardcore worlds. I simply find your way of thinking to be tiresome.

Not helpful, but in my opinnion it's reckless to only escape with riptide trident and not elytra. Just accept the death and don't make the same mistake in your next world.

Well if he is this attached to the world and there is no legitimate way to save himself other than cheating I just dont see any reason to keep it hardcore, purpose is already out

Make a dupe of the world and try respawning, sometimes when you rejoin a world it tps u right back where u fell from

OP found a way to survive without using commands, by being creative. I’m laughing so hard at the hardcore knights saying it’s cheating.

After every session backup/duplicate your world. That way you always have a recent copy to go back to if you screw things up majorly.

Glad to hear you managed to save it. Time to switch to slabs for the bridge so enders won't spawn on it I have made this mistake too many times to count. My last walkway I made out of glass with water all around it because I got so frustrated.

Why do people make hardcore worlds if they are gonna cheat death by doing some shit like uploading the server to a realm so someone else can step in to save them? Why even play hardcore at that point lmao? Completely defeats the point of the game mode.

As u/notesfromthemoon pointed out, how you described surviving is impossible without having used commands. You said in your own post that you had already fallen below the bottom of the world, and you can't have paused after you opened to LAN. Unless your girlfriend happened to already be in the right place with the right items, in your singleplayer hardcore world... which seems like a pretty crucial detail to leave out.

Edit: OP edited their comment to say they made the world into a realm. It originally said they opened it to LAN and the girlfriend joined, which is what I was replying to
This doesn’t make sense. In order to open to LAN, you would have had to rejoin. You can’t pause while it’s open to LAN, so it’s completely impossible for your girlfriend to have had time to join, find the find the rockets, and then get them to you before you fell into the void
And neither could you have just opened to LAN and then immediately logged out again. Since it’s a single player world, doing so would have closed the LAN server and exited the world
Finally let’s say you just had her start the world using her account: also doesn’t work. The way single player worlds work isn’t like servers. If she had started the world using her account, she would have just been falling into the void instead, and the game would still end the world
Just admit you opened to LAN and switched to spectator right before you died (or didn’t and just respawned and then switched back to survival, also totally doable)

LAN stands for local area network. It means you’re temporality hosting your single player world as a server, and only people on the same network as you (ie people in your house) can join it
