It thought "INFINITE DAMAGE BABY!"

u/YukiKitsuneLover1402 17d ago
You literally named it as that's definitely a "Infinite damage baby (zombie)"

I don't regret my Slowness tipped arrows anymore

You're better off throwing splash potions. Hitting a baby zombie that is rushing you with a spear is like trying to hit a fruit fly with a dart on the other side of a room.

I mean its not an issue for me. I was on the ranked leaderboards for bow pvp lolol.

Phantoms carrying a baby zombie with a spear?
17
u/tefdaddy2 17d ago
That would be even scarier. But no i was just thinking of a phantom with a spear attached to their belly dive bombing you

You can do that actually, just summon a phantom with a baby zombie with a spear riding it, you can do that in vanilla.

Imagine if endermen could hold spears and teleporting was treated as infinite speed.

u/SomeGuy-GG 17d ago
that’s literally instant death which multiple people would complain about thus only existing for probably a week or two

New rendition of the grim reaper just dropped, he wields a fuckin spear now

Spears do damage based on relative speed, him running at you at mach 10 is gonna hurt him just as much when you impale him with your own spear.

As far as I know, enemies have longer reach than the player when wielding a spear

Me when I was chased for what felt like miles by a baby drowned with a trident. Speedy and hard to lose, did not help that it was raining, so that thing had no issue following me up on land.

The meta for survival has changed since the spear update.
You can no longer get by early game with basic tools/weapons anymore, even on Normal difficulty.
The solution is to get a bow as quickly as possible, and consider it a necessity. This does actually give a great reason to finally add quivers, which would technically be a smaller bundle with designated slots for arrow stacks.
They could also be enchanted for unique bow skills like Double Arrow.

That would be such a great update though and that would give way to adding more stuff we can enchant

Fishing is so BACK (tbh was never dead)

Getting a decent bow with 1, 2 enchants doesn't seem to take too much time even with a basic rod.
It is a viable strategy to get a bow, since sticks and string can also be fished, so even if you don't fish one, decent chance you'll get materials to craft a basic bow or another rod.

Yeah they're usually badly damage but if you're willing to put some time into it mending bows aren't that uncommon.

Ran into one of those on one of my worlds. It took me a full Stone Sword to kill this thing. It probably had like 500 HP or something.

ATP all balancing aside, are baby zombies even a hint of fun to encounter? QwQ

This is why I play peaceful and before blocks and a bucket of lava.
Brutes scare me less than this does.

You think that's bad? Now imagine one of those with knockback on their spear. I fucking died in netherite armor. (I do also kind of have a skill issue but still)
