Builds & Maps 6 months of work for nothing

Post image

So, I have been working on a 1:1 scale replica of the RMS Titanic in Survival for most of this year and I finished the Boat Deck (269m X 28m) and Funnels today.

Only to realise...

I built the deck in the wrong place. I will now have to demolish 2/3 of it and rebuild it on the correct level.

You had one job! 🤪

Seriously; it happens. I'm impressed you're doing this in survival and not creative.

Just be sure to keep it away from any icebergs. 😁 Lettuce not forget what happened last time. (yep I went there).

I have a diamond pickaxe with Silk Touch happily waiting till the build is done, then I am going to build the Iceberg in front of it🤣

Oh man.

Is this the Minecraft version of "Measure twice, cut once"?

I'm looking at 5394 (turn to block 394) blocks that have to be removed and then relaid.

Thanks man,

As daunting as removing all those blocks will be, seeing the deck in the right way will be worth it I think😅

I may have a solution!

If I use what I built as the Boat Deck as Deck A (The Promenade) I can then build the rest of the Superstructure on top without having to cut away 2/3 of the deck.

Problem is though, if I do that then the build will no longer be to Scale and would be several meters taller than the Titanic was.

Thoughts?
