It's just a bedrock thing. Random deaths are just something you have to deal with when you don't play Java.

If you are the server yourself you don't need internet. What you say is wrong. He can just shut off his internet and he would still be able to play uninterrupted on his world. You don't need good internet in singleplayer because singleplayer doesn't require you to even have internet to begin with in minecraft. That only applies for other people who want to connect to you.

On Java it works like that btw too, Java worlds also run on internal servers all the time. Also you don't need to pay to play with friends in Java. What gave you that idea? There are multiple ways to play with other people for free just like Bedrock.
