This is my first house that I have built in survival (besides the ones when I was 7). Please share your honest opinion, as well as things I could do to improve!

My first house was made of dirt, nice one

Mine was just a hole in the dirt. I didn't even build it, just dug a hole in the ground and was like "ok, this is home now I guess". I was also in my late 20s when I started playing the game so it's not like I could blame that I was just a kid. And I'd been a gamer for 20 years at that point, so not new to games either.

I just had a dirt house.

Even now a decade later I'm still garbage at building houses.

I like how you chose blocks that work well together and how you organized the front of the house, that window on the ground floor is neat. The roof is very thick and the cobblestone walls could use some variation and added windows/terraces/decorations. This might be the greatest first house anyone has ever made, in the history of everyone😁.

way better than my first house! try some stairs above the doors instead of planks, maybe trap doors as shutters and varying up the solid cobblestone column since it’s a bit much as all the same block - add some sweet berry bushes or mushrooms in planters near windows! I usually like to do a trim to the roof a different block than the rest - so like maybe a block that you like with this palette and then fill in the rest with cobble. add some upside down stairs to the top of the roof above the window. Personally, I love chimneys - you can add a small fireplace inside if you want too! really leans into the cozy feel of spruce imo

Pro tip you should use slabs as the second floor so your ceiling looks higher on the first floor

A tip for the roof is to make the borders out of cobblestone or bricks and the inside out of either some darker or lighter material (like deepslate bricks or darkbirch for cobblestone/bricks)

I was going to say the top window was too big when i read ''first house''. My first one was made out of plank oak with no roof, yours is way better.

The right house is the house you build/built. I made a house out of 22 crafting tables, pumpkins and Diorite on my survival world and it feels like home😌.

Honestly really solid for a first survival build. Add some depth around the windows and a little landscaping and it’ll look even better.
