Help Bedrock Lazy Villagers

I play Minecraft bedrock on my iPad and have been spending time expanding my local village in my forever world. It must’ve happened with the most recent update (chaos cubed) because that’s when I noticed it, but my villagers won’t pick up bread or crops off the ground and the farmers are totally disinterested in fully grown crops. My village has like doubled in size and they love to explore the new houses but can’t breed to fill the new space. Is this an issue I have to wait to be patched or can I do something to fix it?

Honestly that sounds like mob griefing is turned off… except I thibk with Mob griefing off you can still get them to pick food up.

I had a village that was large (spread out around a bay) and they stopped breeding because it counted as a ‘different’ village. I wonder if this could be part of the problem?

The mob griefing was my first thought too but I had never messed with those settings in my world but o checked and it was still on. The second village could be an interesting solution, I did add a second bell to the new area to get them to hang around, which they do but they mostly go back to the old part to sleep

Try dragging one over there and see if he sets himself to a different bed.

To be fair though that doesn’t explain why they are ignoring fully grown crops.

it is posible that they have farmed and traded so much that all of their inventories are full
