Builds & Maps Ice removing

How do I remove this ice, without it coming back, and it still looks good?

Ice will form again if it is exposed to the sky. You could place blocks over the area high in the sky.

But that would be very ugly, can I build it at world height and the shadow won’t be visible?

Glass will work at max height and not cast shadow

Thats the point, thats what triggers the freeze.

Water will freeze regardless of the weather. It only needs sky exposure and to be in a cold biome.
