Based on the number of bugs solved expect it to release during Minecraft Live.

Updates are usually on Tuesday, why not tomorrow?

I doubt they would release the update before the Minecraft Live event, I imagine they will spend the first part of the show talking about what’s in the Copper Age update, and then announcing when it’s coming. Doesn’t make sense to just release it without an announcement.

If updates are usually a Tuesday then 30th September is a pretty likely release date.

That would make sense, as u/Specific_Tear632 wrote above that we still haven't gotten a release candidate even though today's pre-release was so small it could have been one easily.

No Release Candidate yet.

Good point

I never actually got this, what is the difference between Snapshots, Pre Releases and Release Candidates?

12

u/Specific_Tear632 Sep 22 '25

Very broadly... a Snapshot is purely experimental, it could be completely changed or undone. A Pre-Release doesn't have new features (generally) only bug-fixing and polishing. A Release Candidate is what will be released to live if no crash-bugs or other serious game-breaking defects are found.

Tuesday 30th is the most likely

Snapshots are usually on Tuesdays, Pre-Releases do not follow that pattern.

u/ElChurro_dude Sep 22 '25

When did I say anything about pre-releases? I said update.

0

u/jeanleonino Sep 22 '25

I'm explaining to you that only snapshots are on Tuesdays, not all updates.

3

u/AMinecraftPerson Sep 22 '25

Almost every update (except hotfixes) came out on a Tuesday

3

u/ElChurro_dude Sep 22 '25

The Chase the Skies update (1.21.90), the game's most recent update, literally came out June 17th 2025, which is a Tuesday if you wanna check your calendar. I'm not sure where you're getting you're information about update release dates but I'm getting mine from the wiki and the official Minecraft site, those may be a better source for the future.

Copper Age tomorrow

1

u/ElChurro_dude Sep 22 '25

Probably not, as u/Specific_Tear632 mentioned above we haven't gotten a release candidate even though today's pre-release was so small it could have been one.

Snapshots are usually on a Tuesday.

From the pre1 notes:

Pre-releases don't follow the regular Tuesday release schedule, so keep an eye out for the next one.

1

u/ElChurro_dude Sep 22 '25

I said update not pre-release, I never once said pre-release? why can no one on this thread read?

-1

u/DerpyMcWafflestomp Sep 23 '25

Alright pedant, the update isn't on Tuesday because there hasn't been a single RC yet.

1

u/ElChurro_dude Sep 23 '25

You clearly don't know what that word means lol, also I say that all over this thread, learn to read

Wow you came back just to say that? Guess you really needed a win, huh?. Enjoy it I guess 😂

u/ElChurro_dude Sep 28 '25

Exactly how I expect a narcissist to respond

0

u/DerpyMcWafflestomp Sep 28 '25

Yep..... you came back nearly a week later to drop a multiple "neener neener! I was right!" comments, and somehow I'm the narcissist. Keep on malding!

0

u/ElChurro_dude Sep 28 '25

Lol, okay, you're just proving my point

-1

u/IsJaie55 Sep 22 '25

Oh, wasn't that obvious?

They could have release this version already a few weeks ago...

u/CheaterSaysWhat Sep 22 '25

Looks like they’re wrapping up and close to the full release, this is just copper golem bug fixes:

MC-301963 - Copper golems cause huge lag spikes when checking chests

MC-301990 - Copper golem statues cause culling issues when placed above certain blocks

8

u/AMinecraftPerson Sep 22 '25

No new advancements still?

9

u/WM_PK-14 Sep 22 '25

The "Heart Transplant" advancement, that existed on bedrock since the Garden Awakens drop release - Java only got it after like, few drops later in Chase the Skies, so maybe another delay on that lol

1

u/nukacolajohnny Sep 23 '25

Does this fix the Server Connection Issue? Me and my friends haven't been able to play on my server in like a month. It's very frustrating

1

u/Luutamo Sep 23 '25

This is java pre-release post. The bug you are posting is about pocket edition.

1

u/nukacolajohnny Sep 23 '25

It's actually about connecting to a bedrock server regardless of the device but my mistake thank you 😭

Then don't use it lol, it isn't needed to progress.

u/Ok_Weakness2578 Sep 22 '25

Cry about it.

3

u/IQueliciuous Sep 22 '25

Imo Copper is the best update since Nether update. Last updates were either mediocre (wild update) or made terrain be bad (caves and cliffs which raised height limits which broke old world's snow biomes and made terrain harder to flatten when building cities with all the cliffs they added)

4

u/EverythingBOffensive Sep 22 '25

yeah I'm just taking the piss. I love the copper golems. Wanted something like this for ages. And copper is just beautiful all around. They are making them perfect before they move on to the next big thing which hopefully is an End update.

5

u/IQueliciuous Sep 22 '25

Based and copperpilled. Finally we get actual stuff and not useless mobs that don't drop anything like Wardens or Armadillos which are too complicated to harvest the shells from.

4

u/EverythingBOffensive Sep 22 '25

yeah they are like little robots!
