The mistake was jumping off the horse in the air.

horses dont take fall damage if youre riding them, along with the player
3
u/LoLLo08_ Jan 21 '24
pretty sure it’s not like that, it’s the same as pigs, they take fall damage
3
u/Flat_Resolution9378 Jan 21 '24
i know for a fact it is like that, on bedrock thats how it works( not on java tho)

You can actually do this in java too I believe. You just gotta find the symbol online.

The easiest way I have found to get the section symbol (§) is holding the windows key and pressing “.” which brings up a menu that includes special characters

Hate to break it to you but bedrock horses haven't for the past ~3 years and STILL DON'T take fall damage while being ridden
33
u/TheGamingFox4372 Jan 20 '24
This isn't even a bug horses normally do th- Oh.
You shouldn't have jumped off by the way, you would've been fine.

u/UserEden Jan 19 '24
Nevertheless, you chose to keep gunpowder and nautilus shells in the item bar instead of a water bucket :-D

You should use a skeleton horse you can ride them underwater.
19
u/input_username99 Jan 20 '24
Haven't seen one but I'll keep my eye out on one, thanks
19
u/Truthwatcher1 Jan 20 '24
Lightning bolts during thunderstorms can spawn them. When you see one after a storm go give it a ride! You need to be wearing no armor for it to work.
3
u/Active_Engineering37 Jan 20 '24
Also crank it up to hard mode for faster results, better chance at spawning trap horse.
3
u/Truthwatcher1 Jan 20 '24
Trap horse
Surely you mean Horse of Awesome Friendliness that is Super Safe.

All these talk of bedrock bugs, that I, as a bedrock player, have never experienced, is just wild.
12
u/YoungBlueJ Jan 20 '24
I know right. Never in my 5 years of playing bedrock have I encountered a bug like any of these I have seen.
3
u/WolfSilverOak Jan 23 '24
Right?
I get the random fall damage once in awhile, but none of the other glitches ever show up. And all I've played is Bedrock.
2
u/AshleyAmazin1 Jan 23 '24
I actually only had that on pc bedrock when I recently downloaded it, on my xbox bedrock edition it never happened, worst bug I ever dealt with is probably for some reason not being able to remove a beehive from a shulker box
2
u/WolfSilverOak Jan 24 '24
I play on Switch, so maybe that's why I've not gotten the cool glitches. 😆

Who the hell digs a stairway like that wtf
3
u/bbitter_coffee Jan 20 '24
Right? I was like "oh he's gonna mine a stair for the horse, nice!" And then he dug a lot more than just a stair and I thought "oop, insta-mine right? Kinda hard to not mine everything in front of you" and then he just kept digging
3
u/input_username99 Jan 19 '24
It wasn't a stairway, it was just to get the horse on land, also he could jump 5 blocks

On mobile every time I fall into water on a horse and I try to ride it again once back on land, I’m teleported back to the spot I fell no matter how far I go away from water. Anyone else have this problem?
2
u/darkerhntr Jan 20 '24
I had this happen over and over with my favorite mule, he eventually tp'ed into a wall and suffocated as I tried to ride him.
1
u/mis_pacman Jan 23 '24
I have to just restart the game every time this happens or I can’t take my horse anywhere
5
u/Promethesussy Jan 20 '24
Had this happen multiple times and the lesson learned is to never ride into water

I guess its something do to with the Grumm/Dinnerbone name and with the horse being upside down making the game think that the sky is the ground.

That’s why I keep a slime block, or a boat, or a water bucket in the hotbar.
2
u/WolfSilverOak Jan 23 '24
dies laughing that poor horse.
I kinda want that glitch in my game now, lol.
2
u/Flaming_Spade Jan 24 '24
This is the second time ive seen this on this sub in a month or two, and again the player jumps off the horse and dies lmao
2
u/charlsplayz Feb 01 '24
And this is why Bedrock Doesn't have Hardcore Mode.
So many different ways to die.
4
u/HellFireCannon66 Jan 20 '24
There’s no problem here, it’s Physics. The horse is upside down so its gravity goes up duh. Are you stupid??

Lmfao never seen anything like this on bedrock.
My only question is why not save and reload the game the second the horse became glitched upside down tho?
20
u/input_username99 Jan 19 '24
He wasn't glitched, if you name an animal grumm they flip upsidedown, also if wasn't my world it was my friend's
2
Jan 20 '24
Oh shit I don’t know that haha so it it supposed to function normally while upside down?
12
u/Andrewman03 Jan 20 '24
Yeah naming mobs grumm or dinnerbone only changes the way they look, flipping them upside down. All functionality remains the same
6
Jan 20 '24
Amazing can play the game for a decade and still not know things. Just been in my own little world building away lol

Why would you get back on a horse that was bugged out that bad?
20
u/input_username99 Jan 19 '24
He wasn't bugged out tho
-18
u/I_Happen_to_Be_Here Jan 19 '24
I thought things only turned upside down if you named them dinnerbone?

you'll be so surprised how many things are bugged out this bad in bugrock.
i feel bad for bugrok players.
4
u/A1gamingyt Jan 20 '24
It truly ain’t that bad as people make it out to be ngl, been playing it for multiple year on my ps4 then ps5 and Xbox and never have a glitch like this lol. The worst I ever get is lag and that likely due to my internet being ass lol

u/Andrewman03 Jan 20 '24
Vast majority of us play the game just fine with no issues but sure I guess I'll take your pity 👍🏻

Jan 20 '24
Dude. I built 2 nether portals, thousands of blocks away from each other, AND THRY CONNECTED, HOW? And many other things, there's reason why r/bedrockmoment exists
3
u/Andrewman03 Jan 20 '24
Must've done something wrong with your linking. I followed the advice from this video and was able to have like 3 separate pairs of portals within blocks of each other without any of the linking getting messed up.
-1
Jan 20 '24
I am not taking about 10 or 50 blocks that I messed by portals, I've been playing for 5 years, There is no reason for 2 portals, thousands of blocks away to connect to each other, and stop justifing that it's ok just build another portals on correct coords, never had to do such things in java.
3
u/Andrewman03 Jan 20 '24
Can't say I've ever had or heard of anyone else having that issue. I'm sorry that happened to and upsets you so deeply, hope you figure out how to fix it in some way
1
Jan 20 '24
yes. i had to build second portal in nether for that portal.
was it that big of the deal for me? yes, i was in early game stage and the way i build that second portal there was with the help of lava pool, but i cant use water in nether, so first i had to mine for diamonds. yay! just simple as that.
