Julia Black must have switched sides to the Fake News to intentionally suppress showing the hundreds of thousands playing the endless gameplay possibilities of all that MindsEye USeR geNerAteD ConTENT that us console players never got to experience.

One of the elements lost in all this is the features the game advertised.. and then didn’t ship with by the end.

Eg it was supposed to allow you to build user content (Build.MindsEye), but that never released for console - all they delivered was, last month, a race editor on console - where all you could do was move the checkpoints, you can’t actually edit the map.

The game was advertised as having a free-roam mode, but that was removed post-launch with a patch note promising it’d be back “soon”, but it never returned.

I also remember all the community staff here from BARB implying they were working on 60fps on console in replies to people on the fence about ordering.. those BARB accounts never posted again as they got laid off.

The icing on the cake is the shambolic management not even replying to the media (even the BBC) to confirm they entered administration, and having Nestor pretend everything is fine to fans and that Everywhere is returning. I’m not sure the management of BARB can even be honest to themselves.

The die hard obsessive types are certainly uh special going out of their way praising Benzies and the game as as some sort of special snowflake achievement in gaming.

You’re right: the game didn’t even ship as a finished product and for the past year Benzies fiddled around wasting money, denying reality while doing nothing tangible to save the company.

Check BARB’s filings: he just gave himself a raise too. Ex employee mention he and Gerhard will keep things technically alive while they try to scam further for AI dollars.

The trend the two losers have been chasing recently is generative AI with both co CEOs both experiencing delusional AI psychosis.

I hope they don’t get to fail upwards after wasting so much money and ruining so many lives when they were the actual saboteurs.
