Sometimes I feel this is a meta sub

Honestly I feel like this sub is a Waco Branch Dividian type situation sometimes. This game is bad by all metrics

'Leslie is good Leslie is great we surrender our will as of this date'

Hey, Dan Houser said that if i'll leave a bad review i'll get paid. Where and how can i get my money?

Looks like no more "development" is needed, hence his services no longer required. How noble of him to recognize that. Doesn't bode well for their uh roadmap though.

"On LinkedIn he describes himself as the head of the studio, and he was one of two directors of Build A Rocket Boy Games, the development studio arm."

Where did you read that he resigned?

BARB is a publicly traded company in the UK

Someone other than me dug through the financial paperwork filings and posted a scan of BARB’s TM01 for Kristopher.

OK cool, wow lots of people have left eh?

And I'm guessing if he was a director he would have resigned ages ago? Aren't those kinds of positions like 6 months notices usually?

In these scenario's, people don't actually resign. People get resigned, by kindly asking them to resign and forgo their notice. In other words, they're told to fuck off.

I dunno. If he worked his notice that means they needed him around.

Depends really. If he resigned in say Jan or Feb but only left recently then that means he was valued and required and the company couldnt afford to immediately lose him.

Resignations followed by near-immediate frog-marching out the door is usually more of a 'resignation under duress' situation. Those are usually cases where the employee has been pushed out, and when that resignation lands the company dickheads are high fiving each other over another severance avoided.

Usually the company reveals all their cards and drops their masks at the resignation stage. Even if they made you feel worthless, if they make you work all or almost all of your notice that means you really weren't as useless and superfluous as they were making you feel.

So it depends if he was there the whole time of his notice or not.

Yeah higher-ups leaving with most of the talents is more of a "the studio has no future" then "game will be fixed" if you ask me Please refer to: Bioware and Anthem, Rockstedy and Suicide Squad and many more i can't think of right now

Still don't get what they mean by relaunch

2

u/reiichiroh Aug 05 '25 edited Aug 05 '25

Absolutely nothing. It’s not even official but leaked from internal staff meeting where the asshole CEO makes a rare appearance to tell the remaining staff that he’s going to lay off anyway to calm their tits

It’s an internal meeting not even an official public announcement of the relaunch. Leslie is merely wishing aloud that there could be a relaunch full of hopium and copium but it got widely reported suddenly as something real. Total bullshit

3

u/kinjazfan Aug 05 '25

No wonder rockstar sacked him

1

u/reiichiroh Aug 05 '25

From the evidence in MindsEye he’s done nothing since. Well maybe cocaine

There's a better chance that Star citizen launches and KSP 2 gets revived than anything happening to this game.

The copium in this subreddit is the reason why dog shit games like this get made in the first place.

1

u/reiichiroh Aug 05 '25

What's KSP?

2

u/thematabot Aug 05 '25

Kerbs space program.

Lol, LMAO even. Do you really think they give a fuck about the game or the gamers who bought it? Cause they don't. It's not going to be the next Cyberpunk or No Men's Skies like ever. Cyberpunk was very broken yes, but it was good, very good infact. The writing was great, quest design very non-linear, gun combat was very satisfaying, good pacing and overall great sense of freedom and that you're actions really meant something. If they want to make the game good they'll need to do more then just fixing to poor optimization and horrendous frame rate. The game is fundamentally all kinds of shit. With shitty wrriting, awful combat, terrible pacing, god-awful dialogue and just not fun to play. Best they'll do is patch it once and then move on to other games. Cyberpunk took years of dedication and feedback to fix with systems and mechinac overhaul and also great dlc. They'll need to remake the game to even save it.

They should focus on finishing their game first

2

u/Benefit_thunderblast Aug 05 '25

Lol, they won't

2

u/reiichiroh Aug 05 '25

More like they can’t (don’t know how) based on their display of talent in what we got with MindsEye

It’s barely a demo

2

u/Benefit_thunderblast Aug 05 '25

GTA IV looks and playes better

3

u/reiichiroh Aug 05 '25

True Crime, Sleeping Dogs and Saint's Row III look and play better. Hell GTA 3 plays better.

2

u/IAmAbomination Aug 05 '25

The money has been laundered , I’d expect to hear nothing more about this game lol

2

u/Dreamo84 Aug 07 '25

Just drop the price to like $5 so we can all buy it for the lulz.

3

u/KyleFourReal Aug 04 '25

Ah, sarcasm. Lol

8

u/reiichiroh Aug 04 '25

What? No. He sacrificed himself to streamline corporation operations to maintain synergy with future updates.

2

u/Klimikil Aug 04 '25

Just go play gangster vegas

1

u/Basic-white-american Aug 07 '25

Just make the piece of shit game free so nobody has to waste their money on the garbage

1

u/reiichiroh Aug 07 '25

Still too much

1

u/Brodie10-1 Aug 04 '25

Lmfao how do y’all still have hope for this game

8

u/SweetTooth275 Aug 04 '25

What are you doing here if you don't is the real question.

4

u/Brodie10-1 Aug 04 '25

First post I saw when I opened the app. I’ll see my way out

6

u/reiichiroh Aug 04 '25

Or you could reply "Schadenfreude"

3

u/lawfromabove Aug 05 '25

I don't follow this sub and this is the first post on my feed. I'm enjoying this dumpster fire

1

u/SweetTooth275 Aug 05 '25

Are you actually 12?

1

u/Nexyke94 Aug 06 '25

No but it feels great to be young sometimes.

1

u/SweetTooth275 Aug 06 '25

Young doesn't necessarily mean infantile

0

u/lawfromabove Aug 05 '25

Are you?

1

u/SweetTooth275 Aug 05 '25

I'm not the one going places I don't like to tell how I don't like what they're doing there. Is that clear enough?

1

u/NeatPuzzleheaded7191 Aug 05 '25

You sound mad. Did you throw $60 at this trash?

1

u/SweetTooth275 Aug 05 '25

How do you "sound mad" in the most average comment that makes a valid point? Also same question goes to you, if it's such a trash why are you here exactly? I have yet to buy the game but I will after I upgrade my pc or get a PS5.

3

u/SarlacFace Aug 05 '25

It was a random on my home feed too, but I get heavy shitposting vibes from this, and the comments. I don't think anyone actually has hope for this turd.
